Spring Summer Makeup and Beauty Trends 2015.

Judging from the latest catwalk shows it looks like minimal to no makeup is in for Spring Summer 2015. A number of designers had their models wear little to no make up in recent shows. Models for Marc Jacobs went completely "bare faced" in an attempt to look natural and "real". Looks like it's time to dig out your favourite nude lippies girls!
Another trend that's set to be big for Spring Summer is purple eyes which of course I'm extremely excited about since purple is one of my favourite eye colours to wear because it makes your eye colour pop. From purple eyeshadows to eyeliner, anyone will be capable of incorporating purple into their eye makeup this season. One of my favourite purple products is NYC's Individual Eyes compact. These compacts are so handy because they contain everything you need to make the perfect smokey eye, it comes with a primer, a highlighter and four eyeshadows so it's a personal fave.
The red lip is making a huge comeback and plenty of berry shade lip colours have been seen at a lot of recent shows and I can't say I'm complaining.. it's a timeless classic. From lightly stained lips to extreme scarlets, pretty much everyone is able to pull off a red lipstick. Some of my favourite red lippies are Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick - Fire & Ice and Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate in 22.
Another trend that has been seen from designers such as Prada, Miu Miu, Alexander Wang and Givenchy is bleached brows or silver brows. Even Cara Delevigne had her brows bleached for a recent catwalk show but she did dye them back straight away and I can't say I blame her! Definitely won't be trying out this trend myself!
Just like the red lip, another classic makeup look that's making a huge return to the runway is black liner. But not in the ordinary way you may think. This season it seems the trend is to start your eyeliner from the middle of the eye and extend outwards to the outer corner of the eye. The black liner seen at recent shows has been black, bold and graphic however, some designers went in the opposite direction and applied strips of plastic or fabric in place of the eyeliner. Again, can't say I'll be wearing fabric instead of eyeliner but I'm happy to see black liner back in for this season.
It seems matte is out and dewy skin is in! No matte skin was anywhere to be seen at recent shows and some models even wore lipgloss on their eyelids to give their skin a dewy look. Minimal makeup was a huge trend with a shine to the skin. Dewy skin for summer, who knew? I think this trend is a bit obvious because doesn't everyone tone their makeup down for Spring/Summer anyway? In the last number of years dewy skin has become even bigger so I think it's a bit of a no brainer that this was going to be a big trend again this summer. I recently bought Simple Kind To Skin Moisture Boost Hydro Mist Spray so I'm excited to see can I accomplish a dewy look with this. I'll also be using my Benefit High Beam mixed with some foundation to create that shimmery, dewy foundation look.
Although minimal makeup is set to be a huge trend this Summer, if you're into wearing more makeup you'll be happy to know that Statement eyes are another massive trend this season. Glitter, bright colours and big and bold winged liner are set to be big this season.
A favourite of pretty much anyone that loves make up is the famous cat eye look which is back again and a trend I can't see going out of style any time soon! I'll be using two of my favourite eyeliners MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack for a gel liner and The Natural Collection Liquid Liner in Black.
Another lip colour that's said to be big this season is another typical summer colour, pink. Whether it's a light pastel, a bright fuschia or a candy pink. Pink lips are set to make your lips look sweet this coming season. Pink is set to be a big colour this season with bright pink cheeks being another statement look that's trending. My go to pink lipsticks are: Avon Colourtrend - Pink Holiday (my last one since they don't sell in Ireland anymore!), Loreal Colour Riche in 303 and Barry M - Shocking Pink.
It's no surprise that bronzed makeup is set to be big for SS 2015. A brown smokey eye, bronzed face or contour will all suffice for this trend so brush up on your contour skills because they're bound to come in handy!

I don't think there's much of a shock to what's in style for this Spring/Summer because most of them are trends that tend to never go away.
